The ones who are smiling and laughing the most have experienced so much pain, the one with the beautiful smile feels down constantly inside. The one whose eyes shine the most, have cried the most.
I know all this from experience, not me but a friend I had. Always so optimistic, always smiling. A laugh so sweet you couldn't help but laugh along. She was so smart, so pretty and so funny. She didn't know the definition of hate, her heart had room for anyone willing to enter.
But I found out this was all mask, to hide her pain. But in the end, the mask she wore to cover her pain fell off. Her suffering finally was seen by man, leaving shattering hearts all around her. A dark truth she never told anyone, finally told in a way you never want to be told.
To tell a story, it is always easier to explain from the start. Where it all began.
